This is so very cool. It means that sites like Instapundit and IFOC will be able to run cell phone-compatible sites with little effort. Just have a little applet which propigates material from the main site to a .mobi site, and there ya go!

I wonder what this means for emergency situations. How much easier will it be to get information widely distributed during a crisis? I'm sure Tom Friedman will have some concern about terrorists being able to get more pages up and be able to disseminate information easier, but it is more of an advantage to the common citizen than it is to terrorists. There are many more of us than there are of them, and a flash mob can be created easily using this new method to show up and keep a terrorist in one place till police get there, or to protest a company funding known terrorist groups, or even just to get the information out there in case of attack.

I think this is a really good thing. Can you tell?
